Universal data cataloger ModusDoc organizes diverse data: documents, e-books, audiobooks, movies, photos, hyperlinks, programs, folders, and notes for quick access. You can create a comprehensive document database where each record can contain up to 250 metadata fields!

Starting with version 7.2, you can scan a folder or disk. ModusDoc automatically creates tree groups according to the folder structure on the disk and generates records with direct links to those files.

Add any documents to the database-including files, shortcuts, or folders-by simply dragging them with the mouse. Dragging hyperlinks, selected text, or email messages automatically creates the respective records (hyperlinks or notes). You can also add all objects from a folder by selecting it in the dialog box.

Documents and files can be stored directly within ModusDoc or linked via hyperlinks. The software allows creating an unlimited number of databases. Each can have an individual configuration: you can hide/rearrange columns or add fields of various types (character, text, numeric, logical, date, date/time).

Each database consists of a GROUPS and a RECORDS table. Groups are presented on two tabs: Index (linear structure) and Tree (hierarchical structure), with the program generating the tree automatically!

Filtering tools located above the group tabs and record fields allow you to locate data quickly. ModusDoc features a global search, and starting with version 8.0, a full-text search inside files like Word, Excel, PDF, and TXT is implemented. More
